Purim
At the Morris Winchevsky Shule (our secular Sunday school), students learn about the Jewish exile in Persia and about Purim as a celebration of Esther and Vashti’s bravery against the authority of Ahasuerus. They explore the themes of identity and the protection offered by masks, both real and philosophical. Of course, masks have taken on an even deeper meaning in 2021.
Join the Morris Winchevsky School (MWS) and the United Jewish People’s Order (UJPO)-Toronto for an online Purim extravaganza. See the Purim spiel (play) performed by our amazing students and some other surprises they have planned. Be sure to come in costume or at least try out the costuming perks on Zoom. We’ll be celebrating together online Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Here is the Zoom link: http://tiny.cc/k56htz
All are welcome! Bring your family and friends. So join us...in costume!
