At Purim the Morris Winchevsky Shule (our secular Sunday school) puts on a party
that is open to all. This year’s Purim Celebration takes place on Sunday March 8, 2020 at
918 Bathurst Street from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Event page here.
This fun-filled and interactive program includes a variety of entertaining activities featuring: the Purim shpiel (play), singing, art making & an art show, pizza & Hamantashn (traditional Purim triangle-shaped cookies) and beverages. We encourage all to come in costume!
All are welcome! Bring your family and friends. So join us...in costume! (You will not be turned
away if you don’t)
At the Morris Winchevsky School, students learn about the Jewish exile in Persia and about Purim
as a celebration of Esther and Vashti’s bravery against the authority of Ahasuerus. They explore the themes of identity and the protection offered by masks, both real and philosophical.
