Rise Up 2: The Centennial Fundraiser
Our hearts are overflowing. With love, with gratitude, with awe for this community that shows up year after year to build something bold, beautiful, and deeply rooted in our progressive Jewish values.
What a night! It was incredible to be part of what is quickly becoming a cherished annual tradition, a celebration of solidarity, human rights, and dignity.
Our deep and hysterical Host Elvira Kurt took us through an odyssey of talent and emotional intelligence. Thank you to our speakers Dave Meslin, Robert Massoud, Sheila Block and Judy Rebick. Thank you to our visual and performance artists from Rad Yiddish, Popolo Press and Pollinator Press Art. Thank you to our musicians Marching Disorder, Marilyn Lerner, Roula Said, and our heartbreaking headliners Black Ox Orkestar! Thank you to the staff and volunteer team at UJPO/MWS for pulling this all together.
But most of all, THANK YOU to our guests who joined and supported the UJPO/MWS annual fundraiser. Once again, we’ve shown that as Jews of conscience, we create real movement when we come together in solidarity, as allies, family, friends, and community.
