The war in Iran has plunged the region into unprecedented spiraling chaos, amidst an expanding genocide in Palestine. Join the brilliant activist and author Judy Rebick as she speaks to internationally renowned journalist Jesse Rosenfeld, peeling back the layers of this historic moment.

Jesse Rosenfeld is a seasoned Middle East correspondent, currently based in Israel and Palestine. With almost two decades of on-the-ground reporting, his work has taken him to the frontlines of war, occupation, revolution, refugee crisis, coups and crackdowns across the region. He regularly writes in-depth features for Rolling Stone, The Daily Beast, The Nation and The Intercept, among other media outlets, offering a rare combination of breaking investigations, insight, and deep on the ground reporting. Jesse’s frontline journalism is also the subject of the National Film Board of Canada documentary Freelancer on the Front Lines, which explores the challenges and impact of his reporting in conflict zones.

Judy Rebick is one of Canada’s best-known feminists. She was the founding publisher of rabble.ca , for which she wrote an advice column, auntie.com and was co-host of the podcast Reel Women. She is the author of 6 books, her latest a memoir, Heroes in My Head. Judy was the first CAW Sam Gindin Chair in Social Justice and Democracy at Ryerson. She hosted two national TV shows on CBC in the 1990’s, She is the former president of the National Action Committee on the Status of Women and was a spokesperson for the pro-choice campaign that won legal abortion in Canada in the 1980’s.
