Join us for the United Jewish People’s Order and the Morris Winchevsky School’s Annual Third Seyder — a social justice-oriented celebration of Passover with a progressive Haggodeh and featuring a traditional Ashkenazi Seyder meal. With special musical guests, David Wall (vocals) and Marilyn Lerner (piano).
Passover, one of the more significant among Jewish traditions, is particularly meaningful to our secular humanist tradition. We retell the story of the Jewish exodus from slavery to freedom, making links between that history and current-day struggles for freedom and liberation.
This year, in the spirit of Passover, we will be highlighting the experience of displaced peoples -- refugees, immigrants, and others forcibly displaced from their homes – as well as those taking meaningful action for social justice.
We continue our efforts at making our Seyder more participatory and accessible. Visit our event page here.
