"Oy Di Velt Vet Vern Yinger" (Oh the world will grow younger) is about the persistent urge to build Utopia: "heaven on earth". It tells a story of the Toronto Jewish Left, from a children's work commune in 1920's Russia, through disillusion, rifts and changes to its celebration and survival at Camp Naivelt, a secular, progressive Jewish community, still existing in the midst of Brampton's suburban encroachment.

"Oy Di Velt Vet Vern Yinger" is inspired by the historical research of Professor Ester Reiter and the memoirs of Manya Lipshitz. Featuring a multi-age community cast, through an interactive and participatory performance, you will be both an audience member and participant, add your own voice and views, and enjoy refreshments and a documentary installation. The artistic and production team includes Ruth Howard, Martin van de Ven, Lisa Marie DiLiberto, Sean Frey, Noah Kenneally, Michelle Silagy, Magi Oman, Mitch Willer, Allan Merovitz, Charles Ketchebaw, Maggie Hutcheson, Leah Houston, Michael Burtt, Abby Callard, Keith McNair and others.

Tickets are $16.00. As audience capacity for each performance is limited, it is advisable to reserve tickets in advance at www.jumbliestheatre.org. For more information, contact Jumblies Theatre at 416-203-8428.
